Burl was last seen playing against Pakistan on 25th April 2021 in a three-match T20I and two-day Test series. Pakistan won the T20I series with a margin of 2-1; however, the Green shirts whitewashed the Redshirts in the Test series, ending up winning both innings.

The upcoming showdown of the Reds is with Ireland in August for three-match ODI series and five T20Is.
