Millions of people worldwide try to understand a 5-letter word in this game every day, and a new game is available after midnight.
The game was purchased by the New York Times in late January and moved to the newspaper’s website, where it is still free, but for how long, it’s hard to say.
People fear that it may become part of the New York Times payment-based paywall soon, but you can use it forever for free and have to download the game.
One Twitter user explained how WordPress works on a web browser and technically doesn’t even need the internet to play it, as all future words for the game are already included in the web page.
If you want to play this game for free forever, you can download it on your computer or smartphone.
How to download on a computer
First, go to the official Web site on a web browser. Then, right-click anywhere on the webpage and click Save the Page to Your Computer from the menu that appears.
Clicking on this option will save As and download the World Web Page as an HTML file.
All you have to do is open the downloaded HTML file, and you’ll have offline access to the game. But you will lose the previous streaks because it will start with the first game.
How to download on Android
You can also download a webpage on an Android phone or tablet, just like a desktop computer.
Open the WordPress website on Chrome, click on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner, and select the download icon.
A notification will appear at the bottom of Chrome that the WordPress web page has been downloaded to your device.
To play WordPress offline, go to the three-dot menu on the browser and click download, where you will see the WordPress webpage, so if you need a subscription to play this game shortly, you can play it for free.
How to download on iOS
For this, you need to download the Microsoft Edge web browser on iPhone or iPad, which is available for free on App Store.
After installing it, open the WordPress website on the official iPhone browser Safari and click the share button.
Then click on Options on the web page URL, select the web archive, select the Done button, and then save to the folder by clicking on Save to Files.
This will save the WorldWide webpage files in the app, but you will need Microsoft Edge to use it. Unfortunately, Safari or Chrome will not work.
To do this, hold down the WorldWide Web page icon for the Quick Actions menu, then click on the Share option and select Edge.
Then open Microsoft Edge, and the game will open on it as an offline page.
