According to the details, the company has announced end support for more phones running on older iOS and Android operating systems from November 1.
WhatsApp says in its FAQ page that support for iPhones running iOS 9 is being phased out, meaning users will be able to use WhatsApp on iPhones using iOS 10 or later. However, further operating systems will be required.
Note that WhatsApp ended support for millions of Android and iOS phones at the end of 2020; on this occasion, WhatsApp support for iPhones working on the pre-iOS 9 operating system ended. Likewise, WhatsApp support was removed for phones prior to Android 4.0.3.
It should be noted that iPhone SE, iPhone 5, 5S and 5C, 6S and 6S Plus still have iOS 9 operating system, they have to use iOS 10 operating system to use WhatsApp. Or update to later versions.
Similarly, phones running Android 4.0.4 or earlier will also lose WhatsApp support from November 1, so users will use WhatsApp on Android 4.1 or higher operating systems. Again, phones running on will be required.
However, with the end of support on older iPhones and Android phones from November 1, users will not immediately lose WhatsApp, they will be able to use some features, but they will not be able to connect devices to the WhatsApp web.
