After the President’s signature, General Asim Munir has been appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff and General Sahir Shamshad Mirza as the new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
President Arif Alvi has called the nominated Army Chief General Asim Munir to the President’s House for a meeting at 7 pm. The Army Chief and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee will meet the President separately.
