The changing situation in Afghanistan, the Prime Minister, convened a national security meeting

TLDR: Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to hold a high-level consultation on the current situation in Afghanistan. A meeting of the National Security Committee has been convened on this important issue.

The meeting, convened on Monday, August 16, will consider the situation in the region, especially in Afghanistan. Civilian and military leaders will attend the meeting.

On the other hand, Afghanistan’s political leadership has reached Pakistan because of the region’s rapidly changing situation. Afghan Speaker Mir Rehman Rahmani is also part of the delegation. Special Representative of Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq welcomed the guests.

The Afghan delegation also includes Muhammad Younis Qanuni, Ustad Muhammad Karim, Ahmad Zia Masood, Ahmad Wali Masood, Abdul Latif Pedram, and Khalid Noor. In addition, Afghan political leaders will meet on the post-Taliban situation in Afghanistan.
