Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has been appointed Secretary-General of PTI, and Amir Mahmood Kayani has been appointed Additional Secretary-General.
Fawad Chaudhry said that similar nominations had been made for the presidents of the four provinces. As a result, Pervez Khattak has been appointed as president of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Zaidi as president of Sindh, Qasim Suri as president of Balochistan Shafqat Mahmood as president of Punjab, and Khusro Bakhtiar as president of South Punjab.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad yesterday, Fawad Chaudhry had said that all the parliamentary boards of the PTI across the country had been dissolved.
Fawad Chaudhry said that a 21-member constitutional committee of PTI national leadership had been formed. The committee included Pervez Khattak, Mahmood Khan, Murad Saeed, Asad Qaiser, and Ali Amin Gandapur from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is to be noted that Imran Khan had expressed his anger over the unexpected defeat in the KP local body elections. In this regard, in the meeting held yesterday, the prime minister decided that he would personally issue tickets to the local body candidates after interviewing them. ۔
It was decided in the meeting that the angry members would be celebrated in any case, and they would be accommodated elsewhere in the local body elections.
