According to the Treasury Department, the new prices will apply from midnight on December 15 to January 1.

It may be recalled that a day earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had sent a summary of prices of petroleum products to the Ministry of Finance, which also mentioned the decline in the global market.

In the last fortnight, the prices of petroleum products in the world market have come down to 74 74 per barrel.
