Pakistan’s contribution to the major event is the official World Cup match-ball, despite the fact that the country is currently serving a FIFA suspension for third-party intervention in the Pakistan Football Federation. FIFA recently presented the official match ball, dubbed ‘Al Rihla.’The match-ball is manufactured in Pakistan by Adidas, the world’s second-largest sports company.’Al Rihla’ means ‘the trip’ in Arabic, and it incorporates the architecture, famous boats, and the flag of the host nation, Qatar, according to Adidas. So, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be using “Made in Pakistan footballs.”
Former World Cup winners Iker Casillas and Kaka launched the match ball in a spectacular ceremony in Doha, Qatar. This is the 14th successive ball that has been manufactured by Adidas for the mega event. Pakistan has been the official makers of the official match-ball since the 1982 FIFA World Cup. However, Pakistan did not provide the footballs for the 2010 and 2014 World Cup in Brazil but they were provided the contract for producing the match-balls for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
