According to Arab News, Omani Ambassador to Pakistan Muhammad Omar Ahmed had a meeting with Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in which bilateral relations and cooperation were discussed.
During the meeting, discussions were held between the two countries on the restoration of sea lanes and the launch of ferry service.
Sheik Rashid Ahmed said to the Omani Ambassador, “Relations between Pakistan and Oman are based on Islamic brotherhood and mutual trust. Pakistan is ready to ease visa requirements for Oman citizens for trade and tourism in Pakistan.” ۔
He said that all possible facilities would be provided to Omani nationals interested in trade and tourism.
On occasion, the guest ambassador said that the ferry service between Pakistan and Oman would be launched soon, which would boost bilateral trade and tourism immensely. In addition, Umrah will also be easily accessible to the two holy shrines.
