According to the details, the well-known American company Starlink has decided to start satellite broadband services in Pakistan and announced opening its office registered in Pakistan soon. This will be the first office of its kind in South Asia.
The decision was taken during a meeting between the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications Syed Aminul Haq and a global broadband company Star Link delegation, Director Middle East Ryan Goodnight, and Head of Global Site Acquisition Ben McCullum.
During the meeting, the steps taken to provide satellite broadband connectivity in Pakistan were discussed in detail, and plans for connecting Pakistan to the global network were discussed.
On occasion, Federal Minister Syed Aminul Haq said that Pakistan is taking all possible steps to connect with the digital world; there are vast opportunities in the country for 40,000 schools, small businesses, including broadband connectivity.
Amin-ul-Haq said that he would provide all possible support for completing Star Link projects.
