The government has reduced the prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days, for which a formal notification has been issued.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 50 paise, after which the new price has been fixed at Rs 118.30.
The price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 115.03 per liter after a reduction of Rs 50 paise, while the price of kerosene has been reduced by Rs 1.50, after which the new price has been fixed at Rs 86.80.
The Ministry of Energy had received instructions from OGRA to reduce the prices of petroleum products. Accordingly, it was proposed to reduce the price of petrol by Rs3.50 per liter.
The Petroleum Division says the new prices will take effect on September 1.
It should be noted that the prices of petroleum products have been increasing since last month and the prices of petroleum products are changed every 15 days.
