German cybersecurity chief sacked over alleged ties to Russia

According to foreign media reports, the head of Germany’s cyber security, Arn Schoen, was fired after a TV program accused him of having ties to Russian intelligence services. German Interior Ministry confirmed the news, saying that Arn Schoen has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.The spokeswoman said the allegations “undermined public trust” in Ern Schoen’s role as Germany’s cybersecurity chief, adding that it seemed all the more true amid a Russian hybrid war crisis.
