On the Google Play Store, as of now, the Facebook smartphone app has a rating of 2.5. While on Apple’s App Store, the social media giant garnered a rating of 2.4.

Netizens have accused Facebook of supporting Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories and called for a boycott over the company’s allegedly biased position regarding the Palestine issue.

A number of them claimed Facebook deleted their content related to the Palestinian cause, while others claimed their accounts were suspended for sharing such content.

Facebook has been facing backlash for censoring Pro Palestinian posts. Facebook has also been sued by two news agencies, a Palestinian data rights activist group, and a translator due to the company’s censorship policy. Their complaints cite incidents in which the company allegedly censored their content and shut down their accounts in violation of the company’s own policies.
