According to international media reports, a study was conducted on cats’ natural properties at the University of Tokyo. The experts kept the cats for about three months and also asked their owners some questions.
The study found that cats can detect their movements, sounds, and positions even if their owner disappears.
Experts explain in simple terms that when the owner leaves the house, the cat is fully aware of it and even knows about the return journey.
Sahu Takagi, a student who took part in the study, said: “Our research shows that cats are very sensitive about their owners, and they can determine their direction by their sounds and gestures.”
“Cats mentally monitor them in the presence of their owners, even when they are not in front,” she said. Studies have shown that cats’ ears and hearing are susceptible; they turn their ears in different directions and make maps with the help of sounds, which gives them a natural sense of presence. ۔
Ingrid Johnson, a certified cat psychiatrist, says that cats get closer to their owners as they age, they also notice differences in voices, and anyone can make a difference if they try to make the owner’s voice heard.
