According to the statement, a meeting of the Election Commission was held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja. Members of the Election Commission Nisar Durrani, Shah Muhammad Jatoi, and other officials participated.
The meeting decided to issue Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati on the allegations against the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner.
According to the statement, it has also been decided to seek evidence from Azam Swati on the allegations against him by the Election Commission.
The statement said that Fawad Chaudhry, in a press briefing, blamed the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner.
It was decided in the meeting that notices should be issued to both the ministers so that further action could be taken.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Swati had recently attacked the Election Commission in the Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs on the electronic voting machine and accused the Election Commission of mocking the government and seizing money.
After that, the federal ministers also held a press conference in which allegations were also made.
