According to the French news agency (AFP), a drone attack was carried out by Houthi rebels at Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia, resulting in which 8 people were injured.
The Saudi-led coalition against Houthi rebels in Yemen has also confirmed the attack.
According to Saudi television, the military coalition said that another Houthi rebel drone trying to attack Abha International Airport had been shot down.
The Houthi rebels have not claimed responsibility for the drone strikes, but the group has often carried out drone and missile strikes on Saudi Arabia.
According to preliminary information, the statement added that eight people were injured in the drone strike while one civilian plane was damaged.
The military coalition said the wounded in the drone strike included a Saudi national, a Nepali, three Indians, and three Bangladeshis, one of whom was in critical condition.
According to the military coalition, they targeted the launch pad used in the drone strike at Abha International Airport in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, under Houthi rebel control since 2014.
According to Saudi television, flights at Abha Airport were temporarily suspended after the drone strike to ensure the safety of citizens at the airport and incoming and outgoing flights.
The Houthi rebels have not yet commented on the incident.
