ISLAMABAD: For the most important session of the National Assembly, where members of the government and opposition reached the Parliament House to vote on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran, a turning point came when the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly rejected the no-confidence motion.

According to details, the meeting of the National Assembly for voting on the no-confidence motion of the united opposition against Prime Minister Imran Khan started at 12 noon for which members of the government and opposition had reached the Parliament House ahead of time.

The six-point agenda for today’s session of the National Assembly was to have a question and answer session after recitation and Naat. Was

Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri presided over the National Assembly session after a no-confidence motion was filed against Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.

After the commencement of the meeting, recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat Rasool Maqbool took place. After Question Hour, Deputy Speaker allowed Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry to speak.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the no-confidence motion is presented under Article 95. According to Article 5, loyalty to the state is the duty of every citizen. On March 7, it was reported that a no-confidence motion was being filed in Pakistan. On March 7, our ambassador is called to an official meeting. Officials from other countries also sit in this meeting. In the meeting, the ambassador is told that a no-confidence motion is being filed against Imran Khan.

The Federal Minister said that with all this, the conscience of our allies and our 22 members is also awakened. Isn’t this a violation of Article 5?

He said that if we are a proud nation then this spectacle cannot continue.

At the end of Fawad Chaudhry’s speech, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri said that this resolution is unconstitutional, therefore he used his powers to reject it according to the Speaker’s ruling.

The Deputy Speaker said that the confidence motion was being brought under a global conspiracy and rejected it. The points raised by the Federal Minister were absolutely correct.

After rolling, he adjourned the National Assembly.

A no-confidence motion was also filed against the Speaker of the National Assembly

The united opposition also filed a no-confidence motion against National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, after which Asad Qaiser could not preside over the National Assembly session.

The meeting was presided over by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri, replacing Speaker Asad Qaiser.

More than 100 members of the National Assembly have signed the no-confidence motion against National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser.

Strict security arrangements

Strict security arrangements were made in the red zone on the occasion of the National Assembly session. Workers of any party will not be allowed to enter the red zone.

Double riding has been banned in Islamabad for today and tomorrow while metro bus service will also remain closed.

Police officials say that on the day of voting regarding Fool-proof security in Red Zone, no one will be allowed to protest in the Red Zone and will not be allowed to enter.

According to police officials, only Margalla Road can be used to enter the red zone, while containers will be installed on all routes leading to the red zone.

Officials said that rallies of political parties from Rawalpindi would not be allowed to go to Islamabad on Sunday and a total of 8,000 personnel would be deployed on security duty in two different shifts on that day.

For security, 3,000 Punjab Police personnel and 1,000 FC personnel are already present in Islamabad, while Rangers will also be assisted in security arrangements.
