After 12 years away from “home,” Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Manchester United. A statement from English Premier League club Manchester United said:
“The club is pleased to confirm that Ronaldo has been transferred from Italian club Juventus to Manchester United.”
Manchester United says everyone at the club welcomes Ronaldo back to the club.
Ronaldo is thought to have represented Manchester United from 2003 to 2009, after which he moved to Spanish club Real Madrid and then in 2018 to Italian club Juventus.
Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or and award winner, has won 30 titles in his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cup titles, seven league titles in England, Spain, and Italy, and the European Championship for his country. Ship titles are also included.
